Yes. Guests can choose from our set list on the night. If you want the evening to lean in a particular direction, such as big singalongs, 80s and 90s favourites, indie anthems or rock classics, we can also help shape the feel of the set around your event.
Our venue has a noise limiter. Can you work with that?
Yes. We are used to working with venues that have sound restrictions, curfews and noise limiters, and we can adjust our setup and levels accordingly. If your venue regularly hosts live bands, it is usually straightforward. If you have limiter details, sound rules or a dB limit, send them over and we will advise before the event.
What do you bring with you?
We can supply everything needed for a professional live karaoke show, including PA and lighting. We also carry a haze machine if appropriate, although it is optional, and we do not use pyrotechnics. All equipment is PAT-tested and we carry Public Liability Insurance, so venues and event planners have clear technical and compliance information from the start.
How much space do you need?
The Live Karaoke Band is a 5-piece band, so a stage or clear performance area is ideal. If space is limited, tell us the approximate stage or floor size, including width and depth, and we will confirm what is workable for your venue and event format.
What power do you need?
Most events work well with standard, reliable mains power. Ideally we have access to suitable power for audio and lighting, but if you are not sure what the venue can provide, just send us the details you have and we will advise on what is needed.
How long do you take to set up and soundcheck?
Setup and soundcheck time depends on access, staging, load-in distance and production requirements, but we always agree a confirmed arrival and setup schedule with you and the venue in advance. The aim is simple: everything should be ready before guests sing and the evening should run smoothly from the start.
Do you provide a host?
Yes. We host the stage, manage the flow of singers, keep the night moving and help everyone feel welcome to take part. That includes confident performers, nervous first-timers and guests who just need a little encouragement.
Can you perform outdoors?
Yes, as long as the band and equipment are fully covered from rain and direct sun and there is safe access to power. If you are planning an outdoor event, tell us about the setup, shelter and access, and we will confirm what is required.
Is there anything you need from the venue?
The main things we need are safe access for loading, a suitable performance area, reliable power, and any venue rules that may affect the show, such as sound limits, curfews or access times. Parking close to the venue is always helpful, so if there are restrictions, please let us know in advance.
Are you insured?
Yes. The Live Karaoke Band carries Public Liability Insurance, and all of our equipment is PAT-tested.
How do bookings and payments work?
Once you are happy with the quote, we confirm the details in writing and take a booking deposit to secure the date. The remaining balance is then due before the event, with the exact timing clearly confirmed on your invoice or booking confirmation.
